Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Engineering College draws students from accross the community and bus travel remains the most popular way to get to us. Below you will find the routes of the buses and relevant times when available.

How to apply for a subsidised season ticket

Late Bus from OLQP

16:05 Monday to Friday
16:35 Monday to Thursday
17:05 Monday to Thursday

Each bus now travels to Sandy Lane (however your child must request this).


Single tickets cost £1.40 and return tickets £2.70. Return tickets are valid on any of the school buses operated by A1 Coaches Ltd. This is currently 3:05pm, 4:05pm, 4:35pm and 5:05pm.

Annual bus passes are available from A1 Coaches Ltd direct. The passes cost £473 per year payable over 11 monthly standing order payments of £43. Payment would need to be on the 1st of every Month, £43 per month for 11 months. Tickets starting after September, for example October, will cost £43 per month for 10 months. Payment by cash each day would be £513 over the year.

Standing orders should be setup your child's name as the reference and paid to A1 Coaches Ltd, Barclays Bank Southport, Sort Code 20-80-33 Account Number 73107302. You should also send a letter with a passport size photo of the pass holder and contact details so they can produce the pass for you.

In the event of non-travel, for illness as an example, the season ticket is not refundable. Cancellations can be accepted however requires one months notice.
