Joining Us - Transition from September

We are delighted that you and your child are joining us this September and can’t wait to meet you all as soon as it is safe to do so.

Thank you for your patience as we continue to develop very new ways of working.

We realise that moving up to high school can be a scary time for children and the current situation could be worrying some more than usual. Let me reassure you that we are doing everything we can to ensure a smooth transition up to high school for all students.

We have been thinking of lots of different ways we can reach out to our new Year 7’s, make them feel excited about joining us and ease their anxieties.

We have contacted our feeder primary schools and learned all about our new students and how we can support them as they make this important transition up to high school. Any student who might need additional support with their transition will be contacted individually. We will also be asking your parents and carers, the people who know you best, to tell us all about you and how they think we can help you as you move up to Our Lady’s.

There will be lots of information sent through the post and via email but please check this area of our website regularly as we continue to update it with our Joining Us videos!

In the mean time, if you have any questions please send them to:

Stay safe and we will see you all soon.

The Transition Team.

We are committed to our offer of a free jacket, skirt/trouser, tie and PE kit for all new starters. Usually you would have attended school for a fitting and we would order them through school. This year the process is slightly different. You will receive a unique voucher code to the value of £80 to spend with our uniform supplier, SWI. This should cover the cost of all the main items. In your pack that was sent home you have an order form and a tape measure to help you.

Unfortunately, their website is not able to process the voucher codes so you will need to ring them with your order. All their contact details are on the order form. Once ordered your uniform will be delivered directly to you at home. Your order should be placed before the end of July. However, we recommend you order your uniform as soon as you can to allow time for any returns.
